Fiddler on the Roof took place on March 9-11, 2018 at Salesian High School featuring performers of the Salesian Players ages 10 & 14-18.
This production was performed simply with modern dress to show the relevance of a show like this even in today's society. Every society has customs and familial devotion, but everyone is an individual in his/her community. We have to ultimately make decisions based on what is best for us as individuals, and as young people finding their way (and many who were preparing to go to college), the young characters in this show were the highlight of this performance. This production emphasized the individuality of each character and the importance of finding your own way while balancing tradition and family.
